Things you can do in Hervey bay


The picturesque city of hervey bay is a popular place that has been attracting tourist for years. There are plenty of activities to attract people of all ages with activities on land or water. Fraser Island just a little off hervey bay is known as the whale watching capital of Australia and the World Heritage site. This place that was simply a fishing village before it was given prominence as a city, brags of endless beaches with some great tourist attractions with activities for everyone. The weather has made this city a wonderful place to enjoy the water sports as well as enjoy a great holiday with sun, sand and surf through the year.

The beach at hervey bay is great for visitors to swim, sail, surf, sea kayak and water ski as well as other water sports and recreation. Other than the water sports activities there are other attractions such as theatres, art galleries, clubs, botanical gardens, annual events, picnics, whale watching cruises and large choice of eateries.  Also with Fraser Island situated very close by, there are some great wonderful sights to see with natural attractions and a variety of holiday accommodation hervey bay. The night owls can look forward to a night out with the numerous night clubs and pubs.  You can either choose to rest and relax or have an action packed holiday with activities planned each day for your enjoyment. If you love the adventure then you can get your Adeline rush in the form of Ski diving and sea kayaking.

Anglers do have a great opportunity at hervey bay where they can fish from the beach shore or charter a boat for deep sea fishing. 

There is also lots of fun for the kids and those who are not so young at heart, in the form of reef world, shell displays and marine life shows such as shark shows. There are some nice markets that come alive on Fridays selling quaint creations at the Whale watch terminal on Urangan Marina.

Don’t forget to take the whale watching cruise, it will take you up close and personal with these gentle giants of the sea and you will get to see some spectacular pursuits of the whales in their natural habitat.
