Like most towns on the Australian Sunshine Coast, Noosa is one of those destinations whose mere mention can arouse your holiday moods whatever time of the year. Nicely tucked beside the pristinely blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, Noosa welcomes more visitors than many other towns in the region. So really; what is there to see in this town that keeps pulling visitors in their hordes?
One of the flagship attractions has to be the Majestic Theatre, a community-owned facility. This heritage-listed establishment screens silent films and holds the record of being the only silent film theatre remaining in the country. Any visit to the town without touring this majestic facility would be considered unfulfilling because its grounds are also perfect for other parties. And you know what? In 2009, the theatre was listed among top must-dos while in Queensland.
The widely-acclaimed Australia Zoo on 1638 Steve Irwin Way is another great crowd-puller especially if you consider animals your pet subject. Lots of animals call this zoo their home; from crocodiles, koalas and other marsupials, you can’t afford to give it a wide berth. It is among the few facilities where you can pet animals or have a look at them at close range. Have you ever petted tiger cubs?
A visit to Noosa National Park is as well unforgettable and the numbers of visitors who flock to it each year is testament to this. The park plays host to a whopping more than one million visitors every year. This park is close to one Noosa holiday resort which travellers cannot simply get enough of. Make the visit to Queensland and experience untouched territory.
