Although your travel agent may suggest to you on the ideal places to visit in Ballina, it is time you heard it from people who understand what is good and what is better: the locals. Welcome to the city and we hope your time here will be worthwhile.
After you are booked into your chosen Ballina motel, it is time you got down and start exploring the astonishing city. Let us first take you to the historical attraction that goes by the name Ballina Manor. This will give you a feel of just how it felt to be a student in 1925. This is because the magnificently restored building housed North Coast Girls College. You will get to see artifacts, photos and historical documentation about the school.
Once we leave the Ballina Manor, we head to Regatta Avenue on which is another interesting place: Ballina Naval and Maritime Museum. This is the perfect place to learn about the city’s port history through viewing interactive displays. They offer guided tours for groups and this provides the opportunity to ask all the burning questions about the navy that no one dared ask.
From the countlessmind-boggling places, we expect you to be collecting your jaw from the ground every other hour. Have you ever had an interaction with a professional potter? Well, we’ll take you to Brooke Clunie Red Door Studio Pottery so you can just see how those magnificent ceramic items are made. Would you like to buy? Not the potter, the items?
This should do for now but we hope you have nine more weeks to spare because we want to show you just an eighth of Ballina’s thought-provoking attractions.
