One such Orange township is Millthorpe which dates back to the early 1800s and it still has that amazing charm. Another historic township worth a visit is Molong. Also classified by the National Trust like Millthorpe, this town has numerous historic buildings that have the ability to take you many years back. It started as a government stockyard in the mid 1800s and a copper mining region. Did you even know that you can see the stone entrance to the first awarded land grant in the area?

What would a tour of the historic places in Orange be without visiting Yuranigh’s Grave? He was an Aboriginal Australian who lived in the area from the late 18the century until his death in 1850. He was instrumental in mapping out large area in New South Wales and even Queensland. There are many exciting facilities for family accommodation Orange NSW is known for, therefore if you have a knack for history, and Australian one at that, head to Orange.
